Branch Manager Gothenburg (HQ)

About the position
As Branch Manager, you will work with our most important assets – our employees and our customers – to make sure they have best possible conditions. Your mission is to drive the development of our business and operations in your branch, together with your team. You are overall responsible for the branch, including staff, work environment, operational business, financial results, and customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for both ocean and air freight forwarding managed from our Gothenburg office, and four operations managers will be reporting directly to you. You will have a large network, both within GEODIS and with external contacts. You will report to Managing Director and be part of the Tactical Management Team.
The Branch Manager’s key responsibilities includes:
- Overall responsible for the branch and the operational business.
- Inspire and develop your employees and the branch.
- Develop and maintain good customer and supplier relations.
- Manage financial business result, budget, turnover and KPIs.
- Profit and loss responsibility.
- Implement and align company processes, policies, and routines.
- Responsible for regular branch meetings and communication/information.
- Work in close collaboration with other branches and internal functions.
- Acting as a GEODIS ambassador.
This is a permanent position, starting on agreement. National travels, mainly in the Gothenburg area, will be required frequently. Who are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:
- A post-secondary education within relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Several years' experience from freight forwarding and extensive knowledge about the logistics industry.
- Several years' experience from a leadership position with staff responsibility.
- It is a merit with experience of working with sales and customer development, preferably in the logistics industry.
- International experience is a merit.
Other requirements necessary for the role:
- Knowledge of financial aspects from a business perspective – KPIs, budget etc.
- Professional communication skills in English and Swedish.
